Day 7 : A taste of home

Got up late again, and we went to QVB for more window shopping. The sales are still on, but everything is still so expensive. I spent about 2 hours on Dymocks, something like Borders but I didn't buy anything. Books in KL are so much cheaper. Heck, everything is much cheaper.

I didn't bring my camera, but for dinner, we went to this famous place in Chinatown called Mamak. Yup, you got that right. Mamak. Pictures will tell you all :)

THEY WERE LINING UP FOR IT!

China boy

The prices killed me.

The extremely lousy teh tarik.

The Aussies LOVE the roti but roti bom with ice cream is weird. haha :D

Day 6 : The Opera House

We woke up pretty late on the 27th. Had Hungry Jacks for the first time before making our way to The Rocks, historical city of Australia, where their first convict landed, or as my dad tells me :p

The Rocks Market :)

Dad SWEARS he saw them at One Utama.

"Is that what I think they are?"

*takes a closer look*

HAHAHAH!

The Opera House was nearby, I really like the scene. We wanted to go for the tours but they were closed for the holidays, ironic enough, seeing it's the most popular tourist site in Sydney.

The view from The Rocks

Day 5 : Boxing Day :)

Sooo, the day we've all been waiting for. Hmm, I think I expected too much out of it, after hearing how big a deal it was to the Aussies. Yeah, the sales were big and the price cuts were pretty scary but yet, they were still too much for us to afford. So we just spent most of the time looking around, hardly buying anything at all! The department stores such as Myers and David Jones were really busy.

The seriously crazy line in QVB.

Darling Harbour, again.

Later we went to the Wildlife Park, part of our deal with the Sydney Aquarium thingy-ma-jig.

Last living dinosaur, as they say.

YES ITS A FREAKING KOALA! *SCREAMS*

I was going to take it home, seriously.

They were boxing and kicking, hehe.

I eat this everyday :O

At night, we went to King's Cross Street, the red light district, just for the fun of it. I honestly had fun even though we didn't enter any uh.. place. Had dinner at a really good Indian restaurant though.

Day 4 : CHRISTMAS!..or not.

MERRY CHRISTMAS! Heh. Christmas for me was like any other day, actually.
We had our Christmas lunch in Chinatown, then later walked to Darling Harbour. Rode the ferris wheel there ;)

Chinatown :)

So we ordered dim sum,

Of course, what is dim sum without siu mai, right? We then asked for fried dim sum. You know like wu kwok and stuff. Lo and behold, this is what we get..

FRIED SIU MAI.

Looking at the menu,

Oh, that's why. Dim Sum IS Siu Mai. How nice :)

I have terrible photography skills, forgive me.

Darling Harbour :)

Called out to the front by the street performer doing magic.

Lesson of the day : Never hide obviously. Figure it out yourself.

It was raining and really cold so we went to Sydney Aquarium.

HAHA :)

Sorry for the horrible photography, I'm learning :D
